Number #7

Double U(W)-Samishii Nettaigyo

considering the fact that this song has a title that translates as “Lonely Tropical Fish”, This is a wonderful song. Though when you first hear it, it might not strike you as such. The lyrics though is what makes the song for me. This is such a powerfully written song, one Tsunku hasn’t done is a while now. It disappoints me.

The music is very unlikely. It is remincent of the 80’s though I quite enjoy it. (maybe because its a cover :P ) I loved the synth in this song. It really made the whole mood of the song if you ask me. I this is has to be my 2nd favorite W song(the 1st being Matsu Wa). :)

Here’s the PV w/ English lyrics for you to enjoy!

Favorite H!P Songs of all time #8

Number #8

Tanpopo- Last Kiss

Yes, My favorite debut single from any H!P to date. This was a great song for the Tanpopo lineup at that time. Everyone blended very well with each other. Plus, I have a thing for ballads. They are my favorite because they always have the strongest lyrical meaning out of any song, and this is no exception.

I think the thing that got me the most about this song though was PV. If it wasn’t for the PV, I think I never may have grown to love this song as much as I do now. It was very simple yet it got you feeling the singers emotions as you watched it. ( One of my favorite Iida videos.)

Anyway, Here’s a Takitty, Eri, Reina performance of this song from MM’s 05 tour! :P

and the PV!

Favorite H!P Songs of All Time #9

I bet everyone is wondering what I’d pick next. How about an older song? ;P I have the perfect song in mind…

Favorite Songs of All Time #9

Marui Taiyo~ Winter Vers.~ / Taiyo & Ciscomoon

Yes, a Taiyo & Ciscomoon song. As one of the original H!P groups I felt it was only necessary to have at least one of there songs on this list. This is one of the songs that really has stood out to me in H!P’s history of music making. It is a great song that has amazing lyrics full of meaning. I almost forgot all about this song when I started thinking about this list, but I came across this video in my files and I remembered why I loved this song so much.

This is one of those songs that I wish H!P would do more of. I must also add that the vocals are wonderfully done. The music is so simple which makes it really easy to listen to as well. I really hate that this group is no longer around…

Here’s the Music video for you all!

Favorite H!P Songs of all Time #10

Filed under: Abe Natsumi, Ai Takahashi, New, PV, list — AiObsessed @ 10:56 pm

Well, I decided it was about time that I post in here again, so here I am! This time though I have decided to share with you all my 10 favorite H!P singles of all time, once a week starting today. I hope this goes well. :P

Number #10

Morning Musume- Furusato

Ah, This has to be one of my favorite songs due to the facts that the lyrics are so sweet, yet sad and the melody is very complimenting to the tone of the singers(well, maybe just Nacchi :P ). I adore alot of the early H!P songs due to the simple fact that they seemed to be a lot more complex and easier to understand songs, unlike the likes of Hana wa Pu~n, which is pure nonsense, I might add.

Anyway, This was a song that really made me into the MM fan I am today. It was just one of those songs that I could really connect to and made me feel as if I was there with them feeling the pain of being so far away from their families and home all the time. (The first H!P video to make me cry I might add. :) ) This is the reason why it lies here at the number ten spot…

For you enjoyment. Abe Natsumi and Takahashi Ai singing Furasato as a duet.

(look around youtube some more and you can find Gen. 1-5 member versions, just don’t get lost)
